Hello. It’s me.

Hi! My name’s Emily and as part of my Branding of Me class, I’ll be writing twice a week on this fancy new blog. I’m pretty excited. I’m a junior graphic design major here at UNC, so I’ll be sharing my own designs, blogging about other people’s designs, and writing about things I think are pretty.

This week as part of my multimedia class, our assignment was to use Adobe Illustrator to create a one-page design introducing ourselves. I thought it would be a great introductory blog post to kick things off!

I had kind of a difficult time coming up with a way to represent my interests, but after deciding to incorporate pictures, I used this neat polaroid concept (see below).
Here’s what you should know about me:

I studied abroad in Sydney, Australia last summer and I fell in love. One of my hobbies is hand lettering, and I love to incorporate it into everything I do, including my work with UNC Dance Marathon (Carolina For The Kids). Like most girls, I am a fan of shopping, I never turn down a bowl of mac & cheese, & I love to spend summers on the Outer Banks. I enjoy sleeping when I’m not too busy, but my coffee obsession kicks in whenever I don’t get enough sleep. Last but certainly not least, I spend way too much time fangirling.
